“SHINING ELEMENTS IN HONG KONG” CHOSEN AS SPECIAL EVENT OF CORTINAMETRAGGIO

After the presentation in Milan on the occasion of Expo 2015 and the Asian tour in Hong Kong and Seoul, where it has been a resounding success beyond all expectations, the project “Shining Elements in Hong Kong” arrives in the Alpine capital of international glamour, Cortina d’Ampezzo, on the occasion of the Festival Cortinametraggio 2016.

Cortinametraggio, at its 11th edition, is the most important national festival of short movies and has selected our project as one of their Special Events in the calendar.
Cristallo Hotel Spa & Golf in Cortina d’Ampezzo, the only 5-star luxury hotel in the Dolomites, has hosted the cocktail for the closing day of the photographic and video exhibition “Shining Elements in Hong Kong”.
The concept, created and produced by Circle Luxury Magazine, revolves around the theme of “sustainable luxury”, and celebrates imaging a sustainable development model, which describes the complete integration between the Western culture of beauty and the refined elegance of Eastern perfection, where luxury is enhanced in the development of ethical and social concepts, for the preservation of the planet and the control of atmospheric emissions , emphasized by the dramatic backdrop of Hong Kong, a crossroads of international business and the ideal place for the presentation of the excellence of Made in Italy.
The shots of the photographer Fabrizio Scarpa, aka Jay Schoen, and the short film by director Daniele Scarpa capture the synthesis between the western culture of beauty, conveyed by the companies of the Made in Italy, and the balance of formal perfection that characterizes the oriental style, in a cosmopolitan fusion. The protagonists of the images, a sophisticated, elegant man and woman, form the human element that confronts a city of many faces reflected in its multifaceted vitality. A crossroads of international business, Hong Kong has developed a luxury model that “speaks Italian”, thanks to the important brands that engage in trade relations with the Asian metropolis. Besides VSY, the project was also supported by Automobili Lamborghini, Salvatore Ferragamo, Cathay Pacific Airways, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, under the patronage of HKTDC Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
“Rethinking the meaning of luxury in terms of responsibility according to current parameters means reading today and recognizing the product and beyond, its excellence and the entire intellectual content that it expresses.
Shining Elements in Hong Kong does so with elegant lightness and within a narrative fabric which is also the manifesto of a project. Both for content and the action for restitution of which is made ambassador “- said Vienna Eleuteri, Sustainability Manager of VSY -” The need to define a new cultural paradigm today is certainly at the centre of the scientific as well as the political and economic agenda and of our efforts as individuals and as a community, to modify the way we think about the industry. Not only because many studies now show that the pioneers in implementing changes for the protection of the environment tend to glean huge advantages over those perceived to be irresponsible on these issues; not only because now sustainability in corporate management is synonymous with innovation and profitability – but mainly because lightening our environmental footprint and returning resources to our common heritage, allows us all to leave an indelible mark of our ethical commitment and our real capacity to look at what is most precious.”
